Metanoia

I’m so excited and happy to start the new year with a new book named “Metanoia”. I want to dedicate this book to my late mother Donna who inspired me to write about the theme of this new poetry collection. I hope you all enjoy reading this book as I enjoyed writing it. I have taken the time to write and go over exactly what I wanted to put together. In thinking about this collection, I was reminded of nostalgic moments in my life that I wanted to combine into a spoken word piece. Over time, I debated whether or not to continue writing and putting my thoughts on paper, and with this collection, in particular, I had to dig deep into my memories and reminisce about the moments I miss dearly and how I wish I had could do it again. Composing a collection of your thoughts and writing it in a way that can be understood by others isn't easy. As a writer, I learned I shouldn't worry so much about criticism or negativity that comes with being a writer. Although I do consider the advice and constructive criticism that could help me improve, I do not put too much weight on disrespectful things that could harm my self-esteem. Throughout the process of reading so many collections that I've written and taking time to breathe, I learned more about myself and how I should incorporate my thoughts. The collection I wrote was dedicated to my late mother who died when I was very young. I remember the hardest part of writing it was holding back tears and swallowing my sadness.

Ariose

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as Samyra Robinson, author and writer of the new release "Ariose."Writing my book was a long process because I had a specific plan to follow. Since I was a new author, I didn't know where to start promoting my books. I wasn't a big social media user, so I had to build up a poetry page to gain access to my inspiration to write a book. In the beginning, I never imagined that I would be writing a book and publishing it and sharing it with so many people. My first book has given me so much inspiration and motivation to get things done in life in a timely manner and to plan things out according to how I want to. Although some things in life may not go according to plan, I never expected that one day I would write a book when I began writing poetry. In the beginning of something new, we do not think of how much we can accomplish as we progress along. I learned by writing" Ariose" to keep my mind open to many possibilities and do not give up on my ideals if I wished to succeed. A bestselling author is my number one goal as an author, but that takes time and money, so I'm not in a hurry to get to that point, but I want to ease my way into it. The journey to where I want to go may be an easy one for some and a difficult one for others, but whatever is the journey, if what I end up doing is something I love, then I will be satisfied.
